Steven Greenfield has over 20 years of experience working in both the financial and legal sectors. Steven began his career as a tax and securities attorney at Weil Gotshal and Manges, where his clients included a number of Fortune 100 companies. While at Weil Gotshal, Steven specialized in tax-free mergers and acquisitions, partnership tax law, and securities law.
Steven has experience with both consumer privacy and cybersecurity investigations and litigation. Steven is currently pursuing litigation against a number of leading financial and healthcare companies for their unauthorized disclosure of their customer’s personal financial and medical information. Steven also has experience in employment law, with a focus on the investigation and litigation of wage and hour claims.
Besides his broad-based legal career, Steven also brings a wealth of financial and operational experience and knowledge to HammondLaw. As an investment banker, Steven focused his energies on raising capital for small and mid-sized companies that were looking to grow and expand their operations and workforce. Steven has also successfully worked with numerous start-up companies in both the specialty finance and consumer product space as a C-level executive. Steven performed capital raising, operational duties, and legal duties for these companies, and was responsible for the successful sale of these companies to private equity investors. This unique financial and operational experience provides Steven with the tools to understand the financial issues and considerations that are present in both employment law and consumer privacy cases.
